Sodium Hexametaphosphate (SHMP) 68% is a chemical compound, also known as Sodium Polymetaphosphate, with the molecular formula (NaPO3)6. It is a white, granular or powdered solid that is widely used as a sequestrant, dispersing agent, and water-softening agent. It finds applications in various industries including food processing, water treatment, and detergents. 

Food Industry: Used as a quality improver, pH regulator, and chelating agent in various food products.  
Water Treatment: Softens water by binding to calcium and magnesium ions.
